For ten consecutive years from 1998 to 2007 the HSA successfully organised its own Speed Championship,
with sponsorship from performance tuning specialists Aldon Automotive of
Brierley Hill. The HSA Aldon Automotive sponsored Speed Championship was usually run over about eighteen rounds, taking in many of the country's top sprint and hillclimb venues. All events were (and still are) are open to HSA members who hold National A or novice National 'B' licence licences, providing a rare opportunity for novice drivers to compete at venues such as Shelsley Walsh, Prescott and Loton Park hillclimbs and Cadwell Park, Lydden and Goodwood circuits. |
