Anyone going?
I have submitted my entry, but not heard anything yet.
I have mixed emotions when I think of MIRA - on on hand it's where I got my first (and only) class win trophy. On the other, it is where I had my first and thankfully only big incident (same event as the trophy!).On my second run (first was fast enough to take the win) I ran out of talent, locked up going into the control tower corner at almost 100mph, car went sideways into gravel and ripped the front left tyre off the rim. I also hit a cone and did some cosmetic damage to the car.
Last year I was on my way to MIRA and blew my gearbox up on the motorway - the 5th gear hub assembly actually came out through the side of the casing!
Hopefully better luck this year!

Hi Adam
Yep I am going - its my deadline to get the new rear axle fitted with a better ratio so I can TRY to hassle Jon Plowe in the Gilbern.
Final regs not rec'd yet.
I will try to catch up with you, I was busy repairing my codrive Marcos and missed you at Wiscombe

| To be fair - it was hard to catch up with anyone at Wiscombe - you had to work out who everyone was under the hoods, hats, umbrellas and mud! :) |

Got mine too.
The merging of the classes is a bit odd. I feel sorry for the MX-5 that is up against the Mercedes SL63 AMG! |

Hi
Dont forget its only the MAC classing on the day, for HSA Championship scoring the results for HSA competitors are extracted and then reclassed into the HSA Class structure for allocating points.
This Class structure needs sorting. There are 3 of us competing from HSA Class V and we have all entered different class's for MIRA.

So, only a week away and my rear axle still not fitted, but it already to insert.
All I want is a DRY day.
Look forward to catching up with HSA competitors

Finally getting my season underway and the first chance to try out in anger the patent 'Hubbard-Plowe Twin DCOE Essex V6 Manifold'. It gobbles fuel and makes lots of noise and so must be a winner Don't worry Peter I have made a deal with him up above for a dry weekend as well as getting myself moved into the classic class |

Looking forward to a dry event after Wiscombe! Hoping the new brake pads offer better bite, need to be braver into the braking zone. |

Me too - fingers crossed!
I am having an issue with my turbo wastegate sorted tomorrow and the car re-mapped. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute. Hopefully I will recover some lost horses though. |

A great days sport on Saturday and super weather with lots of HSA members doing well. My final timed run made up for all the 2 months winter/spring work on the car - roll on Curborough.

Many thanks to those who offered help with my exhaust downpipe problem.
It turns out that downpipes are not made for my car anymore, so I am hoping the repair holds. I have ordered a nice support bracket, which will hopefully stop it cracking again.

Nothing as common as a st185 :) - it's actually an st165, which has a different stud pattern turbo side.
As far as I am aware the only company that manufactured st165 downpipes was Aussie, who are out of business.
It looks like the weld is holding so far - the guy at MIRA did a good job. If it goes again I will probably have to look at getting a new pipe custom made.
Thanks for looking though!
