MX5 hillclimb/sprint road car for sale
Hillclimb / Sprint MX5, For Sale: Eunos Roadster / MX5 1598cc

Built as a hillclimb & sprint car to compete in HSA MX5 Class (A2.1) & Bugatti Owners Club B License challenge in 2011, have competed this year at Castle Combe (MX5 lap record holder) Gurston Down, Prescott, Curborough & Shelsley Walsh.

The car has had bucketloads of money spent on it & has been absolutely reliable & competitive whilst remaining a very quick road car (9 minutes 17 seconds at the Nurburgring quick enough ?).

Specification:

Eunos Roadster/MX5 1989 1600cc, chassis number 000576, (built 24 July 1989, 2nd week of production in Hiroshima) rot free, been waxoiled, undersealed & cavities sprayed with LPS3, body is straight, no damage, never bumped & is coloured red & black.

Mileage is 82,500 is MOT’d until August 2013, taxed to Jan 2013.

Engine is a BN6 1598cc with approx 5.000 miles from fitting (later thick nose crank engine), currently giving 135 BHP (trace included) has shown 141 BHP depending on air filter system, latest BN6 cams, machined & lightly ported head, vernier pulleys, MazdaSpeed 4 Branch with custom build exhaust with high speed de-cat (meets noise requirements 85 decibels at 4K rpm), modified AFM, throttle body & inlet system, remote oil filter kit fitted, 50mm dual core aluminium radiator with twin fan system, new water pump & belts, Cobra triangulated brace system & carbon fibre slam panel.

Wheels are 6-1/2J x 15” BMW Mini with Toyo TR1 tyres (done less than 1500 miles, barely scrubbed) front suspension completely PolyBushed, recent new springs & shocks all round, front & rear underbody chassis brace bars, large (MX5 2.5 Sport) front discs & calipers with EBC Yellow Stuff all round, Goodridge stainless brake hoses front & rear, tow hooks & straps front & rear, final drive is low 4.13 with a viscous LSD, external battery cutout on rear wing, lip spoiler on boot lid.

Interior, drivers seat is FIA Sparco Indy (only FIA seat with alterable back rest) with new FIA TRS 5 point 3” harness (valid to 2017), OMP alcantara steering wheel with OMP quick release, white dials & fitted stopwatch system, TR Lane GP5 GP cage with brace & diagonal bars (meets MSA requirements) & door brace bars. Aircon removed but still has electric windows, manual steering with recent replacement rack & knuckle joint. Good vynil hood with new clear back window, wind & weatherproof.

Also included huge spares package, electrics, engine parts, wheels (Honda Civic multi spoke) with nearly new Hankook tyres (MA5DA challenge tyres) all receipts, MOT’s, history etc, etc, etc plus a genuine Mazda factory Mk1 workshop manual & service bulletins (themselves like rocking horse pooh !!!) plus other manuals & paperwork & loads more, need to clear the garage .

Car has been serviced by self, retired aircraft engineer & MazdaMan of Bicester, engine, diff & g/box oil usually changed after 2 events, maintained usually regardless of cost, bills will prove.

The car is available now to drive away as a complete package (health problems force sale !) as a very quick road car or a cheap competitive hillclimb & sprint car, I will not break the car or sell individual parts, it is a complete package, I have bills etc to tune of over £ 3,700, so I suggest a price of £ 2,500 drive away. If interested give me a call, try & find a better one at the price.
