The Hillclimb and Sprint Association:
The Hillclimb and Sprint Association (HSA) is a national organisation which aims to represent
the interests of everybody involved or interested in the sports of speed hillclimbing and sprinting. The HSA
publishes SPEEDSCENE, the only publication to concentrate exclusively on these
events, and organises the ALDON Automotive HSA
Speed Championship, an important Hillclimb and Sprint championship with rounds
at most of the major venues. The HSA also organises its own Events throughout
the year.
THE ASSOCIATION
The HSA is in a unique position to expand and develop the popularity and success
of speed events in the UK through the association, its championship, Speedscene and its own events.
Our aims are to expand and diversify the associations activities, forging stonger links with competitors,
officials and spectators throughout the whole spectrum of speed events.
Plans are already in hand to grow the membership, introduce new venues and expand the number of
events that the association organises. However, we are a voluntary organisation and need your ideas and
to achieve these goals. Please contact any of the committee members if you are interested in
joining , want some advice to further your interest in hillclimbing or sprinting, have a suggestion
to make or would like to help in any way.
So what do we do currently and what are the benefits of membership?
This section should explain the role of the HSA as an MSA affiliated club. Focal point for Sprinting & Hillclimbing.
Lobby group for rules & regs etc. Invited club to a wide range of events and members
eligible for the BARC PPP Speed Championship. Technical support for equipment and regulations.
SPEEDSCENE
The HSA's highly-regarded magazine 'Speedscene' is published five or six times
a year. Subscription is free to HSA members.Edited by journalist Jerry Sturman,
the magazine contains reports, articles, photographs and
features covering all aspects of sprinting and speed hillclimbing.
The high standard of production of the magazine sets it apart from the normal club
publication - it is essentially a newsagent quality magazine, dedicated to sprinting and hillclimbing.
THE ALDON HSA SPEED CHAMPIONSHIP
The HSA Aldon Automotive sponsored Speed Championship, open to National A and novice National
'B' licence holders, which visits many of the country's top venues.
